Time to scratch

(photo left: pancakes with blueberries, banana, honey and lemon...YUMMY)

YES! Today I have time to scratch myself. It's been a challenging week:

 - I've commenced the 'Foxy' challenge at my gym

   - Been nursing my husband who tried to use his face as a     handbrake on his mountain bike (see facebook for charming photo)

   - Working out my new job as a swim instructor and should have confirmed work hours on Monday (yay!).

   - Just got an email from my current/old work asking if I'm still interested in staying with them for some relief work maybe...

Somewhere in there I still have a daughter to love and enjoy too! Keeping a work/life balance this week has been tricky but when it comes to work/life balancing I do enjoy a challenge.

It was a little scary visiting my husband in hospital though, not knowing if he was going to be a: fine, b: quadriplegic c: paraplegic. But really, as long as he had his mind in the right place the rest was just going to be a technicality. I remember thinking: "Good thing I haven't made any final, irreversible decisions regarding work yet!".
But it's all good for now, except I've just got one frustrated man on my hands.

So cooking this week has been scrappy to say at least. I've tried to make it look as good as possible considering that the gym nutritionist is going to see my food log, which is a form of motivation thankfully. No baking for a while either - more because I'll have no time or energy to exert in that kitchen!
